KI Memories Mini Calendar + Christmas

I made this little calendar for my project- I got the little mini cases and calendars from a local stamping store, Impress Rubber Stamps. You can order them online too: Mini Cases and Mini Calendars. The rest of the supplies are all KI Memories- you can see the list here.

John and I started our "official" Christmas on the 22nd, and with Drake searching for gifts under the tree days ahead of time, I figured I better snap a few pictures of the house, the gifts, and the tree, before all of it was torn apart. We have been so fortunate this year, even though it got off to a bit of a rough start for me, it has really turned out to be one of the best years of our marriage. I am so thankful for John, Drake, our families and friends, our home, Baby on the way...life is just really good for us these days, and to me, THAT is the best gift!

 

Ahh, the blissful calm before the storm.

And then it wass time for Drake to open his presents...first one went ok...as in, we still have it, intact. Second toy? Not so much...

 

 

 

 

 

Oh Drake. What is going to happen to you when the baby comes? I think you are going to spend a lot of time wondering what the heck is going on. Just try to hold back on mutilating her toys, please? That's really all we ask.  

After we had our "at home" celebration, we packed up and headed over to Silverdale for 2 more Christmases! One with my parents, and the other with the Pebbles. We were SPOILED rotten, but a good spoiled, because we received some things for the house which will really help make things more spacious, and Mommy is thrilled because Santa brought her a bunch of fun crafting stuff...As in a "L" Letterpress Starter Kit, a Silhouette SD (which I have been wanting forEVER!), a Wood-burning tool and tips, a GIANT roll of Freezer Paper (I was really excited because I can't find it here in Redmond!) and a bunch of fun stamps and accessories. Oh, and we also got a FLIP video camera! I know it's for the bean, but look out...I might be inspired to make a crafty video one of these days! (heehee)  

Drake also had a 2nd Christmas...yesterday he ate the entire left over roast from Christmas dinner that John's Dad left out on the kitchen counter. About 15 minutes later, he was begging for my banana. You would think we starve him to death- he is on the constant search for food!

It was a really wonderful Holiday for all of us, and now we are home and trying to unpack and unwind before reality resumes tomorrow. *sigh*. Boo Reality. I can't believe our due date is only a mere 10 weeks away. I may start freaking out very soon. I have already started with the "lying-awake-at-4-am-thinking-of-all-the-things-on-our-to-do-list" and lemme tell ya, that's not fun. I wish time would slow down a tiny bit? No? Oh well. I guess I better get used to it.

With that said, I hope everyone out there had a wonderful Holiday season! I am off to work on our "New Years" cards, since I ran out of time for Christmas ones. :D

Of course, this was back when I still had some creativity, before the baby ate it all.

It's a.....

GIRL!!

We are so excited! Things have been a madhouse around here this past month- you wouldn't believe all the work we've been doing to get ready for Baby Pebbles! Right after the garage sale, and I mean, like, the day after- we started packing up the whole house and stuffing it into the garage so we could replace the carpet in this dump! What a major difference a clean, healthy, pet urine, rust and mold free carpet can make for your mental health! Then, all the furniture had to be moved back in, and the old office became the new Master Bedroom/Nursery and the old little bedroom is now my office. It's cramped in here, people. :D Mom and I hit IKEA for new furniture for the Baby, and a new closet for the Bedroom, a new table for my office (it folds up, and is awesome!) and then slapped it all up over the 2nd weekend in November while John was duck hunting with the Men. And dogs. He has lucked out with the furniture assembly...that's been pretty much all me. I left him the gem- putting up new curtain tracks in the living room!! :D

While most of the house is put back together, there is still some cluttery stuff that needs to be cleaned out, the garage which we had so lovingly cleaned out and organized for the sale, is back to being a dump again, filled to the brim with the furniture and stuff that got the boot in the cleanup. And we still have rolls of our nasty old carpet in the backyard to dispose of. But, we're getting there!! Christmas decorations just *might* get put up this weekend!!

Still haven't taken many photos of me. Funny how that works...I am slowly getting back to it though, Thanksgiving was a great excuse to break out the camera and snap a few of the family, and John got this cute one of me and my Stepdad Leo:

 

I am getting as big as a moose.

That's about all life has consisted of over the course of November: House makeover x1000. 

Next on the list: Sewing for the baby x1000.

Just wanted to post a quick update- we're heading out for a wild night with friends for our annual Christmas Party! Sober sister! Whooo Hoooo! Can't wait!! (lol!! I'm sure it'll be fun minus the bottle or two of wine that I usually drink!)
